Happy 5th Month Birthday, Layla Noelle!
 |
| Beautiful, Beautiful Girl! You have my heart! |
Layla-Girl you weigh 16.1 pounds. Wow!
You wear a size 2 diaper.
You also wear a size 2 shoe.
I can't wait for summer so you can wear all the new shoes I have recently bought.
You are definitely a chunky, little thing with short legs! I think it's totally awesome too. I'm still loving those little thighs.
 |
| Love the bows! We are Texas girls so the bigger the better! |
This outfit has been snugged away in your closet. I was thinking you wouldn't be able to wear for a while. I was wrong! I think this will be the only time you will wear it, I could barely get it over your little hips.
I bought this outfit way before you were born. I still remember receiving it in the mail, so excited to see you in it one day. Here we are 5 months later, all dressed up, and just about grown out of it. Time is going a little too fast for me!
I have to say you are still sleeping pretty good these days. Going to bed around 9 and waking up about 6 for a feeding. There have been a couple of nights that you slept till 7 a.m. I'm kinda concerned that teething might affect your sleep habits. I guess we'll tackle that issue when it happens.
Most early morning I'll lay with you while you eat and you fall right back to sleep. There have been a few nights you just want to stay up and talk. So what's a mom to do.....but talk!! Our conversation are quite interesting. Usually you are wondering when your brothers are going to wake up or how many more days until you see your sister-cousin, Brendal. Ha! We talk a lot about all our fun times we are going to have this summer.
There have been a few changes with you this month.
First: You only suck your thumb when you are hungry or tired. It's your left had too, which makes me wonder if you are going to be a lefty. I researched left-handed people and I found that "studies" show they (lefties) are more creative and innovative, many of our Presidents and sport super-stars are left-handed, and they have their own day - August 13th International Left-Hander's Day (Hey..another reason to buy you a new outfit).
Second: You are officially rolling over. On April 15th you finally made the complete roll from back to stomach. Days before you were almost there, but you made the pit stop for a thumb suck and would never complete the roll. You are a pro now! Ohhh..get this - you roll over on your left side too.
Third: You are pushing up on your elbows. Let me tell you -- your brothers thought it was the coolest trick. Better then rolling over! I wonder what they are going to think when you are crawling.
Layla you are a mommyyyyy's girl. You know when I leave and when I'm home. You do a really great job for B.B. during the day, but when I get home from work your ready for your mommy time. I have to say I'm loving it too.
I put you on my hip and we bounce around all evening playing with the boys.
This month we wrapped up soccer and CCD. It's been nice having free time throughout the week. It was pretty busy month (weekends) with Easter, crawfish boils, and cousins over.
This next month I will probably start feeding you a little rice. Maybe introduce a sippy cup and apple juice. I bet you will be close to sitting up by the end.
Here it is the infamous basket picture. Crying.
Layla it's so hard to believe that in one simple month you will have been in my life for half a year. I was so scared before you were born that I wasn't going to be able to do this alone. Now I have so much pride in myself to see how far we have come together. From sleeping on the couch together to sleeping all night in your bed. Man...we are growing up!
You make me a better person.
You are mine and mine only! Well Paw Paw B. is pretty territorial over you, so I guess I'll share you with him!
Below is our month eventful together. It was a pretty good month with a visit to B.B. and Paw Paw's, Easter, crawfish boil, visit from our cousins, and soccer.
