Happy 7th Birthday Transformer Blake!

I know every year I start his birthday blog with "I can't believe,"  but I truly can't believe he is 7 years old!  Maybe it's because he is my first baby, my guinea pig baby, my first true love...it's just hard!

He is truly a special boy!  

Our original plans were to rent a moonwalk and have his cousins and friends over.  Since we have had tsunami weather and our backyard looks like a combination of a swamp and jungle our plans changed.

We headed over to Grand Station for some laser tag, putt-putt, and bowling.

Blake asked his best friends since preschool- Caden and Brody.  These little buddies  attend different elementary schools and see each other about every 6-8 weeks.  Once they get together it's like they saw each other the day before, they never miss a beat.

By the end of the birthday I caged them...I was exhausted!!  Just kidding!

While eating breakfast:

Me:  Blake do you feel like your 7?

Blake:  Nope, still feel 6.  It doesn't feel like my birthday just yet.

Me:  What do you think it should feel like?

Blake:  Like (thinking) people should be cheering for me all day!

Me:  I will be happy to cheer for you as you walk into class!?

Blake:  UMMMM.....No thank you!

A LOT OF LOVE'IN GOING ON TODAY!!

Happy Valentines Day!

Today was a good day!  It was filled with lots of hugs, kisses and thankfulness for each other.  We all got a lot little gift from someone and my favorite would have to be from my dad.  They were wonderful dipped strawberries from Sherri Strawberries.  I know Blake would say his favorite were his mini transformers and Chase his trains.

We had a nice dinner with shrimp, steak and lobster.  

At the end of the day Blake announced to us that this was a really good day.  Probably one of the best Valentines Day he ever had!  I think I would have to agree with him!

2 Months Old!

HAPPY 2 MONTH BIRTHDAY LAYLA NOELLE!

LAYLA you are 2 months old!

 Layla you weigh 10 pounds 8 ounces

You wear size 1 diapers

Wear 0-3 months clothing

We finally moved from the couch to a bed.  It felt pretty nice to finally sleep in a nice comfy bed.  At first you started the month out by sleeping in your co-sleeper in my bed.  Then you slowly made your way into your pack-n-play in my room.  Since, I'm still on maternity leave we still stay up pretty late, so by the time I finally put you in bed it's close to 11 p.m.  You sleep in your pack n play for about 3-4 hours before I hear you start moving around.  Usually when you wake up you don't care to eat, you just want a warm body to cuddle up next to.  Seriously I really don't mind either!!  So, I cradle you in my arms and we sleep comfortably all night long.  I love having you so close to me!

Layla you are so different from day to day.  Some days you do really well on your own, either in your swing or under your play gym. Other days you want to be all wrapped up in your blanket laying on my chest.  I know I should put you down more, but I love these moments and I often think they will one day come to an end.

Layla you still eat quite often.  I started giving you a couple bottles a day, so you will be ready for B.B. to take over when I return to work.  Letting others feed you has given me a little more time with your brothers and I'm able to get more stuff done around the house.

I can't believe how well your brothers have adjusted to you.  I often hear them calling you "pretty girl." You definitely are a pretty girl.  Your eyes are a beautiful blue and your hair appears to be dark in your pictures, but actually your hair is much lighter at the roots.  Your eyelashes are going to be long just likes Chase.  You really favor your big brother, Blake.

This month I got a few smiles and coos!  You seem more willing to talk with me during the morning then at night!

I still haven't brought you out of the house much.  We've gone to pick Blake up at school a few times, but other than that someone is always at home with you.  

Next month if weather permits I'm hoping to bring you out a little more.  I just want to dress you up with a really big bow and show you off to everyone. Maybe you'll sleep in your pack n play a little longer, but it doesn't really bother me if you end up with me.

Little Miss Layla I can't even describe my love for you!  You are absolutely perfect in every way.  I can't believe how fast the last couple months have come and gone.  I'm always taking mental pictures of you!  I want to remember everything!

Happy 1 Month Birthday Layla Noelle!!

Layla you are 1 month old!

Layla and Cailou -- it's going to be fun to see how much you
change this next year.

You finally reached your birth weight of 8lbs 2 oz.

You wear newborn size diapers.

You wear newborn clothing.

   

 We (me and you) have spent most our nights on the couch.  I can usually get you to sleep a few minutes here and there in your bouncer, but you really prefer my arms.  So we cuddle up together on the couch and we usually sleep quite soundly. I'm eating every minute up because I know one day it will come to an end, plus you are my last and I know how much I gonna miss your sweet, baby smell.

During the day you really like to be held.  Thank goodness B.B. is here to help me because I would not be able to get anything done.  I do spend a lot of my time just staring at you in disbelief that I have such a beautiful, little girl - my daughter (I like the way that sounds).

 Right now you are nursing about 10-12 times a day. I enjoy every minute of it too.  

You have these two big brothers that love you more then you'll ever know.  They stare and kiss on you constantly and I'm always having to tell them to back away.  We are learning the meaning of inside voice, since they are just not use to a little one around.

Arriving....

Your delivery was so much easier then your two brothers.  I got to share the special moment with B.B. and Aunt Carrie.  You had your cousins and brothers waiting in the lobby with Paw Paw B. and Uncle Brock.

We haven't really left the house to much, except for a week visit back in Nederland.
