Spaceship

This morning on the way to school:

Blake: "Mommy look in the sky a spaceship (really the streak of an airplane)."
Mommy: "Wow, where do you think it's going?"
Blake: "Probably to Mars to visit it's martian friends."

Back to Work

After being off for close to 3 months today I went back to work. I felt as Blake got older leaving my kids would become easier. I thought having grandparents watch my kids would make leaving bearable, but it doesn't. All I think about all day are my two boys. What is Blake doing? Has he said anything funny? Has Chase had a bottle? I wonder if he know I'm not there?

As Blake says, "Mommy you go to work so you can buy me toys."

Professional Kid

This is how our coversation went the other day when I picked Blake up from preschool.

The local college bus was dropping/picking up students and he was curious about it. Blake asked, " Mommy where is that bus going." I told him, "It was dropping off kids from his favorite college." "Well, mommy why do people go to college." "Blake we talk about this all the time. People go to college to be doctors, lawyers, teachers...whatever you want to be." I asked Blake, "What would you like to be when you grow up?" He responded, "Mommy I want to be a kid. That's all I want to be is a kid. Can I go to college to be a kid?"

We killed the Chia Pet!

If you know anything about Billy and I then you know we can't keep a plant alive for anything. On the side of our house we planted Oleander's because nobody can kill an Oleander - well we killed the Oleanders. Every beautiful plant we had out front of our house this past spring is now dead. We spend so much money replacing plants every spring.

Well to add to it we killed the Chia Pet! Who kills a Chia Pet! This should be the easiest thing to grow! NOPE! Not for us! We killed the poor little Chia Pet!
